A history of giving... In 1982 Westview Medical Foundation was created to meet the needs of our patients and the osteopathic profession in Westview Hospital. Throughout the years patients, friends, community leaders, physicians and employees have donated money for a myriad of programs and services to benefit our patients.
A tradition of service... Gifts to Westview Medical Foundation help bridge the gap between the actual cost of providing services and the continually shrinking reimbursement the hospital receives from insurance companies, Medicare and Medicaid. These gifts provide financial support for special programs, services, equipment and unique campus amenities available to our patients.
A commitment to medical excellence... Westview is fortunate to have hundreds of generous donors whose gifts have enhanced the physical and emotional healing of our patients:
The Acute Rehabilitation Center Courtyard helps patients learn to maneuver common outdoor obstacles such as ramps and curbs, allowing them to regain their independence and return home.
The Healing Garden gives patients, families and employees a beautiful, quiet space in which to relax and reflect.
An annual scholarship is given to a select medical student at the Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine through the William V. Wolf, Jr. Endowment Fund.
Critical equipment is purchased for various patient services throughout the hospital.
Why do we need your gifts? Because while the help people receive at Westview may be covered by insurance, that may pay just a small portion of the costs associated with running a hospital. For special programs, services, equipment and unique campus amenities, we rely on financial support from individuals, families and businesses.
