William V. Wolf, Jr, D.O. Academic Award Application
The William V. Wolf, Jr., Academic Award was established in memory of William V. Wolf, Jr., D.O. by his family, friends and colleagues. Dr. Wolf was a graduate of Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine, a founder of Westview Hospital and on its active staff as a family physician from 1975 until his death in 1997.
The purpose of this award is to recognize and provide financial assistance to a qualified student enrolled in Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine.
The amount available to be awarded each year is estimated at $1,000.
Selection Criteria:
- Recipient(s) of the award must be duly enrolled in Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in the year in which the award is made.
- The student must demonstrate financial need as evidenced by the application form.
- The student must be in the upper 50% of his/her medical class.
- The student must intend to specialize in the field of family practice and integrate OMT in his/her practice.
- The student must have demonstrated an interest and involvement in osteopathic professional organizations.
- If more than one leading candidate has otherwise equal qualifications, preference will be given to a student who intends to practice in the Indianapolis, IN area and affiliate with Westview Hospital.
