Community health and fitness screenings
On a quarterly basis, Westview Medical Campus is proud to host a
free health and fitness screening to the community. Screenings include balance, blood glucose, blood
cholesterol, balance, flexibility, grip strength, skin cancer and more. Physicians are on hand to answer
participant questions and evaluate health questionnaires.
- Ongoing medical lectures
- Westview Medical Campus regularly holds medical lectures open to the community on topics ranging from diabetes and hypertension to weight management and graceful aging.
- Fitness/exercise classes
- As part of Westview’s wellness vision, a unique facility was created. Westview Healthplex Sports Club is a medically-based facility that helps you get health and stay healthy for a lifetime. We offer many ways to get healthy – from basketball, swimming, indoor tennis and running track to group and specialty fitness classes.
- Diabetes Education & Support Groups
- Westview Hospital offers a variety of support and education groups including a bereavement support group, diabetes education classes, and Alzheimer support group. The Diabetes Education classes are held in the imaging conference room. For the most updated dates of classes or to register, call Joyce Mowatt at (317) 920-7271. The Alzheimer Association Support Group meets the second Thursday of each month (quarterly) from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. in Westview Hospital’s imaging conference room. - Senior Spirit program
- Westview Hospital's Senior Spirit is a community-based health and fitness membership program that encourages adults ages 50 years and older to live the best years of their lives in a healthy and active way. Senior Spirit offers fitness classes, health lectures and social activities that will improve its members' quality of life - body, mind and spirit. The cost of the program is $5 per person or $10 per couple.
