Press Release
Westview Healthplex Sports Club

Renewing Energy to Achieve Children's Health
Indianapolis, IN - March 6, 2008

Westview Healthplex Sports Club is introducing a new youth strength training program called R.E.A.C.H. (Renewing Energy to Achieve Children's Health). A common misconception is that strength training is inappropriate for youth, when in reality; it does nothing but better the health and lives of children.  The goal of R.E.A.C.H. is to motivate and encourage children to establish healthy habits at an early age.

Benefits of the R.E.A.C.H. program:

  • Children will learn the fundamentals of a successful and safe strength training and education program - to improve physical health and develop a strong sense of self accomplishment.
  • Offers routine cardiovascular warm-up and exercise classes that focus on building a healthy lifestyle.
  • At the end of each class, there will be an educational session to improve their knowledge on healthy behaviors.
  • All classes will be taught by our own personal trainers.  Westview Healthplex's personal trainers are highly qualified professionals with college degrees in health, fitness and exercise-related fields.

Children will be placed into different classes, according to age group and amount of participants enrolled. Eight-week classes will start every month.

For a complete list of times, age groups, and cost please contact Amy Upp at (317) 920-7468, or e-mail aupp@healthplex-indy.com.
