Cancer Care
Westview Hospital's Cancer Care Center offers a team approach. The nurses are certified and knowledgeable in administration of chemotherapy, management and assessment of symptoms and side effects. The oncology team offers a multidisciplinary approach and works with patients and families to provide the best care possible in a serene and healing environment.
Our services include:
- Administration of chemotherapy
- Blood transfusions
- Therapeutic phlebotomies
- IV fluids, antibiotics and medications related to side effects
Registered nurses evaluate patients for problems they may experience due to cancer diagnosis
and treatment. They work with patients, families and caregivers to assure that every aspect of the care
and treatment goals are met. We see the patient as a whole - body, mind and spirit - continuing
the osteopathic philosophy of Westview Hospital.
We offer an area where the patient can relax, rest, be comfortable and heal while obtaining treatment. We also offer a variety of teaching materials to assist in understanding the disease and the healing process. Information can be tailored to a patient's specific needs and requirements.
