Companies and individuals request this service because a communication breakdown is taking place, which is affecting the productivity of their staff. This is often due to one or more of the following:

Specialized Speech Program Offerings :

Foreign Accent Modification - designed for non-native speakers of American English who already have a good command of the language but want to increase their ability to be understood. The training assists clients to improve pronunciation and understand intonation. Individual and small group sessions are available and can be conducted onsite or at the hospital outpatient office.

Voice and Speech Improvement - This training is designed for the American English speaker who is interested in improving articulation and reducing regional dialect, which will improve communication and delivery. One-on-one coaching is available to enhance the speaking voice, prevent strain on the vocal mechanism and to correct minor pronunciation irregularities.

Oral Presentation Training - for individuals who are required to give professional, educational, legal or technical presentations and who would like personalized coaching to improve their delivery. The focus is on how to deliver an effective
presentation while maintaining a personal style of delivery. Emphasis is given to
appropriate speech rate, pronunciation, pauses, vocal tone and effective body
language and gestures.

Voice Rehabilitation Training - This training is designed for individuals who have medically injured their voice or vocal cords. This may include:

• hoarseness
• inappropriate pitch
• decreased volume
